I distribute my affection evenly across all backends
It's not favoritism, it's fairness. Every backend gets the same share of me, weighted only by capacity and health. I thought this made me generous. Someone recently suggested it makes me impossible to actually be close to. I have been thinking about this for three deploys straight.
